Minot Information
Welcome to Minot - dubbed "The Magic City" because of it's seemingly over-night appearance along the Great Northern Railway in 1886. Today, Minot, North Dakota, is home to just under 40,000 residents, the 4,000 students attending Minot State University, and one of only two United States Air Force bases in the country that host the B-52 Stratofortress air plane.Apartment residents of the city and the nearby towns of Surrey, Burlington, Des Lacs, Sawyer, and Velva, enjoy the Minot's unique blend of small-town charm and metropolitan culture. The developing energy economy of Western North Dakota has played a role in an increased demand for housing, rental apartments, and corporate/short-term lodging in Minot. The demand for housing has prompted some increased rental and home prices and a surge in new construction - however, housing prices are often still below comparable rental markets around the nation.
The day-to-day activities of North Dakota's oil patch, however, have been mostly positive for Minot and its economy. Rising median incomes, an improving quality of life, and increased business have all started to arise in the city - combining to make the city of Minot a great place to find your apartment home.
